benefits of Work From Home Jobs
I love working from home; it provides me with the work, life balance I craved.
It gives me flexibility, which means I can work around my girls, I can wear whatever I want, I don't get stuck in the endless traffic jams.
So for me its the perfect job.
In addition to these benefits there are other ones that you might not have thought about:
1. You Can Work From Anywhere
For me, this is the greatest advantage of working from home.
Having three young girls all at schools means during the holidays we can go travelling, I take the laptop, iPad and phone, and away we go.
Even when they are at school, I take my youngest to dance or to swim, and I work while she is busy doing the things she loves.
You even have the option of coffee shops if you feel isolated.
2. You Can Work When You Want
For me, working for myself this is another plus point, one day I work in the morning, the next in the evening.
I can fit my work around my other commitments, and I don't fit my life around my work.
Now for some people, I realise you would still need to work specific hours but working from home, if you need to get away from the screen it's easy to go and make a cup of coffee, get some fresh air, take a nap etc.
Doing all this in your own home means you will come back to work that extra refreshed.
3. You Will Save Money
You will no longer need to commute, saving money on petrol, train or bus fares; you won't need to buy yourself those fancy work clothes, well unless you want too.
You will also save money on those lunches and coffee breaks as you'll be able to make all these yourself from home. A big win here.
4. You, Will, Be More Focused
When I told my family I planned to work from home; they said to me that I would get distracted too quickly and wouldn't get anything done.
Luckily I proved them wrong. Yes, you need some will power, but I have become more focused and find myself achieving much more than I expected.
I shut the door of my office and don't worry about my collages disturbing me halfway through an article. I get on with the task in hand.
Working from home is now a real possibility for a lot of people; it completely changes your life.
You will indeed be independent, you will need to be motivated, focused and disciplined, but the benefits to your well being and health are enormous.
