Delivery Driver

Delivery drivers are probably at their busiest during the weekends, so finding a position as a delivery driver is probably not going to be too hard.

You will need a full driving license and a car, but the role is flexible.

GrubHub, Postmates, and Door Dash are some companies offering driving jobs.

The hourly rate for a delivery driver varies significantly, with some companies paying $9 and others closer to $15.

Uber Driver

Again a flexible option if you have a car. Weekends are busy with customers wanting to get to restaurants, bars, and other entertainment venues.

Uber drivers can expect to earn between $9 and $11 per hour.


Valet Parking Attendant

Most entertainment venues require valet services.

Hotels are also busier on the weekends, so require more valets. 

The hourly rate is not very high at between $8 and $12 per hour, but you can earn tips that will increase your income.

Party Bus Driver

If you have your bus driving license and feel you could manage a party, then this could be for you. Party Bus Drivers earn approximately $13 to $18 per hour.

The average hourly rate as a tour guide is $13 per hour.

Musician or DJ

If you have experience as a musician or DJ, then working on the weekend at weddings, nightclubs, or other events could have the potential to make you a good income.

If you choose the DJ route, you will need some equipment. But that can be quickly funded as DJs at weddings earn good money.

DJs and musicians hired earn, on average, $14 per hour, but freelance DJs can earn $500 per night.

Event Staff

In every city I have lived in, events are held nearly every weekend in a variety of genres, so finding weekend work as a food vendor, bouncer, or in another supporting role should not be too difficult.

As an event staff, you will expect to earn $13 per hour.

Wedding photography is a high-stress job; you need to ensure you get everything right and keep the happy couple happy.
